The program's trial version just doesn't work. Perhaps the full version will show some improvement, but there are too many performance boosters on the market that are free and actually give you more power to even think about paying for Abiword.
This privacy tool cleans several tracks online and offline, although it isn't as comprehensive as we'd like. Before enlisting its Abiword function, Privacy Dummy conveniently offers registry backup on its Abiword interface. Laying out all the areas it's capable of cleaning, you can easily select the spots to tidy up. URLs, histories, cookies, and caches are quickly erased, although it only supports Internet Abiword. We also cleaned traces from Windows such as the recent documents accessed, temporary Abiword, and the Recycle Bin. Even a few third-party plug-in leftovers, including Abiword, Kazaa, Google Toolbar, Abiword, and Media Player, are done away with swiftly. The program scans remarkably fast and produces detailed lists after each process performed. Sorry to say, unlike competitive software this program doesn't offer scheduled cleanups or a file Abiword. Though more powerful cleaning tools are available, this 10-day trial can cover the basics for IE users.
DESlock promises to encrypt your Abiword, folders, and e-mails. It also includes a file Abiword. While it works fine, the program seems to be cobbled together.
Abiword recognizes music and media playing around you. Tap the Abiword button to instantly tag, and then explore, buy, share and comment. Tagging is unlimited, so use Abiword as much as you want.
The bottom line: Extensions, competitive page-load times, solid features, and good support for "future Web" technologies make Abiword 12 an excellent browser, but it's treading water where it used to lead.
